The Team

Tom never looks into a camera...ever.
Tom is an aspiring young actor who was literally raised on film as his mother teaches it. His favourite film is Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, Kubrick is also his favourite director.

Tom is almost always acting to some degree whether it be in a show or preparing for an exam, he lives and breathes performing. His passion for film and filmmaking allows his visual creativity to grow, allowing him to broaden his range as an actor and gradually take braver roles.

Tom built the blog from scratch and is responsible for organizing the content. He edits, formats, proof reads and publishes every single post on the blog as well as writes his own.

You can follow Tom on Twitter @TBroomey.
Hard to imagine that she treats us like slaves.
Alex is chair of the film student representatives with a strong passion for film as well as drama. After being in a drama school for 9 years, film and drama have been a huge part of her life and she wishes to become a director in the future. Her favourite films range from Taxi Driver to Dodgeball, however she is also a fan of comedies of a darker nature as it often reflects in her own humour as well. An avid fan of Breaking Bad and films so much to the point where people have to beg her to stop talking about either of those subjects.

Alex specializes in her "Six Things" section, where she compiles lists of 6 things on pretty much any given subject. She provides a break from the somewhat serious tone of the other posts on the blog by giving her posts a flair of humour and ironic cynicism.

If you were to have any trouble or questions at all with any matters to do with the course of AS/A2 level she is happy to help you if you either stop her around college to ask questions or there will be drop in lunch time sessions where she will happily help – she only occasionally bites if provoked.

Sean and that bloke who was in Hot Fuzz.
Sean is a film student representative and a member of the Youth Advisory Council for the charity Film Club. Film has always been a huge obsession to him; like meeting different people from the industry such as Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (See picture) at the premiere of The World's End along with Col Needham, the founder and CEO of IMDb at the launch of the National Youth Film Festival.

His favourite films include Mulholland Drive, The Lives of Others, Clerks and Easy Rider and his favourite director is a tie between David Lynch and Pedro Almodovar. In his spare time, he is either watching a great film or listening to a classic album on his record player, particularly from Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac and the Pixies. Should you need any help with your studies, have any questions about the Film Studies course or a film recommendation then just look for him in Shades at break or drop in lunch time sessions when available.

You can follow Sean on Twitter @seanmcdonnell_, he also has his own film blog which can be found here.

We don't condone mass sugar consumption.
Chloe is an A2 film rep, who decided film was her calling when she found every job she wanted to do seemed to curiously spring from a character in a film. Arty, musical, and way too excited by films (and the credits...), Chloe is most interested in cinematography and the arts department. She also volunteers as the projectionist for the Wokingham Film Society (if only as an excuse to watch more independent films). If you have any questions about the course, or need any help at all, don't hesitate to talk to her.

Chloe serves as the main careers liason for the blog, expect her posts to center around the film industry and what the best ways are for you to get a start. Most of her work can be found in the "Career Corner" tab.

Ben's (rejected) 'Top Gun 2' audition tape.

Ben is a Film Representative that is here to help you with anything that you might need during this year of Film Studies. After his first year, Ben has taken more of an interest in film as a whole, trying to see as many films as possible and looking forward to the practical side of film during his second year after being successful with his two shorts at the end of his first year. Ben likes to take part in anything practical and loves to help and give advice. Ben’s other hobbies include playing a wide variety of video games and he enjoys doing archery in his spare time.

If you have any questions or are in need of any help, don’t be afraid to speak to him or any of the other friendly Film Representatives that are here for you.

We cut Sean's head in half with much malice.
